Very pretty to come to! We came for a few hours and did a nice hike around. Unfortunately there are no guided tours of you only visit for the day but we did find our way around alright. Also we asked a Staff and he gave us good recommendations where to go to since we didn't go up the mountain

The registration office for Mount Kinabalu is where you get your number tag and arrange for your mandatory guide (RM350). For me, the wait for the shuttle to the Timpohon Gate was over 30 minutes because some of the vehicles had broken down. Everything else was fine.

Officers in HQ are friendly, mountain guide is experienced, patient and have took good care of me and my hiking buddies from start to end. Comfortable stay at panalaban, food are tasty. Went early Nov non-peak season, less crowded and was lucky to have good weather and pleasing panoramic view. Best experience ever!
